DevCon | Wix Conference

Role – Art Direction, Branding, Motion Direction

Led the art direction for all motion-driven visuals across DevStudio Con, a large-scale Wix developer conference held in Bangalore, India. Responsible for the animated branding and visual language applied to all dynamic surfaces throughout the event.

Created and art directed motion assets for the main stage, booth screens, large video walls and transitional branding moments. The work focused on translating the Wix brand into a cohesive animated system that could scale across multiple screen formats and spatial contexts, supporting both keynote content and the overall conference atmosphere.

The conference’s visual language was built around a restrained color palette and typography that incorporated programming-inspired glyphs, creating a direct connection to the world of development.

The system relied on sophisticated grids and responsive rectangular modules that continuously reorganized, enabling seamless transitions between a wide range of compositions. This created a dynamic visual environment that evolved in real time throughout the event, with the screens adapting to each stage, from openings and breaks with countdowns to ongoing branded support during talks and transitions.

As part of the process, we designed a full 3D model of the conference venue, placing all screens and branded elements within the physical space. This helped us better understand scale, movement and visibility across the different areas, and present the concept clearly to senior leadership and key decision-makers.

Using VR headsets, we were able to walk them through the environment and show exactly how the screens, animations and transitions would behave and come together during the actual event.
